I heard a motivational speaker the other day, sorry I cant remember her name, but she said we are multidimensional not one dimensional. To stay inspired with our passion, we need to look outside our field. To embrace other fields of influence that will inspire our creativity. I truly believe in this concept, as focusing our efforts on one field can lead us to compare. Once we start down this path of comparison, self doubt joins us and our creativity takes a break while we play with our negative thoughts. So instead of walking with self doubt, I took a walk with Yoko Ono. I enjoyed 30 minutes at her exhibition ” War is Over! If you want it” at the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Sydney. I will not say I am a die hard Yoko Ono fan, so I went to exhibition with a very open mind. Her pieces were interactive and require the viewer to be involved for the art to shine. My favorites included the Wish TreeMy Mommy Is Beautiful and Imagine Peace Map. Not only do they show you what is important to Yoko ( peace, her Mother, and her wishes), they ask the viewer to share what is important to them. To write a message about your Mum, and to write down your secret wishes. To view a wall filled with messages about Mums, well it filled me with a sense of wow! It is simplicity at it’s best with no smoke and fancy tricks. This morning was also time with myself. I have been working on making my needs as important as the to-do list, and the everyday commitments that we have. You can find my original post about finding me time here. So not only was I inspired by the exhibition, I was also rejuvenated. Did I enjoy my morning….OH YES! orginal-(1-of-18)-copy orginal-(18-of-18) orginal-(3-of-18)-copy orginal-(10-of-18)-copy orginal-(11-of-18)-copy orginal-(4-of-18)-copy orginal-(12-of-18)-copy orginal-(7-of-18) orginal-(8-of-18)-copy orginal-(9-of-18) orginal-(14-of-18)-copy orginal-(5-of-18)-copy orginal-(6-of-18)-copy orginal-(13-of-18)-copy orginal-(16-of-18)-copy orginal-(17-of-18)-copy Now click on the link to see Kristen Burton Photography: Utah Family photographer 30 minutes for this month.

Cindy! Wow. Wow. And more wow. These are incredible because I can see what you valued about the exhibition, even about the time alone. I looked at your images before I read your paragraph, and I already knew that this was time apart for you. These images just sing. Beautifully done. I especially love the way you played with DoF in these!
